The July 31-Aug. 2 VKA Northeast Summer Nationals venue has been moved from Kelly’s Motorsports Park in Batavia, NY, to Oakland Valley Race Park in Cuddebackville, NY.

1)  This is essentially due to fall out from the tragedy at Kelly’s a few weeks ago. The town wants to review all the operation details they originally gave the OK to. 

2)  We will basically follow the schedule from Batavia with one possible change below  (* if you have an opinion write back to me):  

Thursday practice and 3 Lap Monte  – and I’ll try and find a * restaurant for us to meet at for dinner both nights.

 Friday-Saturday:  practice, kart show, and we may run the first heat and the feature on Saturday or do both races on Saturday.

3)  I am working with Tim Hannen, owner of the OVRP track who juggled some things to get us replacement track time, which was very generous of him. Pricing will still be about the same. No reserved parking spots.

*** If you have motel reservations in Batavia, don’t forget to cancel them and make new ones! There are a couple cities with hotels within reasonable driving distance to OVRP including Middletown approx. 12 miles east and Monticello about 15 miles north of the track.
