Volunteering: VKA is run by volunteers. Because the membership is comprised mostly of vintage karters, we not only have drivers and mechanics with a lifetime of experience at and on the track, but are in the unique position of having access to a vast and varied “knowledgebase.” Don’t let it go to waste. VKA is always looking for volunteers at the track, but also to manage, organize and run the organization. Release Agreement (required)

I have read and agree to the Release Agreement below.

In consideration of, and in exchange for, being granted the benefits of membership in the Vintage Karting Association, Inc. (“VKA”), the undersigned, for myself and for anyone claiming on my behalf, including, but not limited to, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns, do:

a) Hereby agree to assume all responsibility and liability for all acts or activities of myself, my drivers, assistants and crew for any and all damage or injury that may be caused by any or all of us or by our kart(s) motor(s), properties or possessions in any way arising out of or resulting from the operation of my equipment and/or as a result of our participating in a VKA event or kart activities (hereinafter, “VKA activity” or “VKA activities”).

b) Hereby agree to follow and to be bound by all of the rules/guidelines of the association and agree that decisions of its officials and/or interpretation of its rules/guidelines will be governed exclusively by the administrative review and to be determined appeal procedures set forth in such rules/guidelines.

c) Hereby release, waive, discharge and agree not to sue the VKA and/or any or all of its directors, officers, employees, agents, committee members, referee and inspectors, its individual members, and volunteer workers assisting in approved VKA activities (hereinafter, “Releasees”) from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, demands, costs, liabilities, expenses and damages, including, but not limited to, claims relating to negligence or otherwise for all loss or damage for bodily injury, death or damage to property arising out of or resulting from a VKA activity.

d) Hereby agree to indemnify and hold the Releasees from and against any and all claims, actions, causes of actions, demands, cost, liabilities, expenses, loss, or damage incurred due to the presence of the undersigned in or upon a restricted area or in any way operating a kart, officiating, observing or working for, or for any purpose participating in any VKA activity and whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

e) Hereby assume full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to the negligence of Releasees or otherwise while in or upon the restricted area and/or while operating a kart, officiating, observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the VKA activity.

f) Hereby expressly acknowledges and agrees that the VKA activities are dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. The undersigned further expressly agrees that the foregoing Vintage Karting Association Membership Release Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the Province or State in which the activity is conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
