NEW CASTLE, Ind. — Results for the 18th Annual VKA Super Nationals held June 18-20 at New Castle Motorsports Park are now posted.

A note from the Super Nationals promoters —

The 18th annual SUPER NATIONALS at New Castle was a huge success with over 215 drivers entered including practice entrants. They came from all over the United States, Canada and one from Australia. The behavior and quality of the racing was second to none — side by side sometimes 3 or 4 in a pack putting on a show for the spectators. There were no major accidents on the track. However, Wayne Billings suffered a heart attack while in the pits. He was quickly attended to by hero Ryan Spencer, a medic who brought him back to life. He has since had surgery and is recovering well.  

The weather god was generous to give us three days of 70 degree, dry weather. We’ve never had a better combination with everything flowing well.  

The banquet dinner was sold out (next time I’ll order more). The 2026 Hall of Fame inductees were Joe and Richard Swantech, Ron Funkhouser , Rick Gifford and Skip Owen. Congratulations to a fine group of Veterans. The results were posted on the VKA Facebook page with hundreds of pictures by several volunteer photographers. The pro photographers and the announcers all had to cancel at the last minute. 

This tradition could not be carried on without the Dismore family and crew who bend over backwards for us every year.  We are so lucky they allow us in their schedule.  

Thanks to all the newcomers and the repeat members for making the event so great. Also, thanks to the VKA and its team who put some effort into it. Thanks to Sherri and my kids for working all weekend dealing with registration and scoring.
