Just a quick clarification for the featured class at Delmar this year.. Stock 49 is exactly as it sounds, stock!!!  Any modified 49 or M/C 49 engines will be immediately disqualified for this class and put into the regular 49 class.  Per the guidelines, here are the rules for this class: Engine to have no modifications – must be run stock — stock intake and exhaust ports – no additional boost ports absolutely no internal modifications – heads are not allowed any alteration / filling to increase
compression — No 49M/C blocks allowed — GEM #1273 box muffler – Max Torque dry clutch with no modifications and orange springs – minimum driver age 45 years old – entrant must accept intake / exhaust removal for engine inspection upon request.  A 1″ max bore single carb on a stock 49 intake is required (no modified or home made intakes allowed) exp..  Reed Intake #458… Max Torque clutch ONLY with orange springs, GEM Muffler #1273 ONLY.  Absolutely no exceptions at all!!!!  That means no rev grips, no Hartmans, and no Hortsman or Reed type mufflers…. Follow the guidelines or please do not enter this class.  Any vintage chassis is allowed – rear or sidewinder and vintage style ONLY square hard tires are allowed… Absolutely no round tires what so ever.  I will be reviewing all Stock 49 set ups.  Driver age minimum is 45 yrs old!!!!  No exceptions… This class is to hopefully bring back some fun in the 49 class as it was many years ago before it was ruined by the modified entries…  Its easy, if you don’t like the rules – enter a different class!!!!  Any questions please call me at 248-533-7544.  Scott
