The current Historic Class is probably the best grassroots example of why VKA was founded in the first place. Currently this class is recognized as a demonstration only class. In conjunction with the VKA’s 25th Anniversary this program has been designed to recognize as many Historic Class participants as possible, not centered on first place finishers. In the first year this program will concentrate primarily on six VKA Midwest State Events.

One vintage clock recognition award will be presented at the conclusion of each event. From the following considerations, only one will be selected with only one clock awarded per event.
Clock Award Considerations:
Oldest Kart Entered – Oldest Class Driver – Best Un-Restored Kart – Oldest Engine – Free Lottery Drawing – Longest Distance Traveled to Participate – Other Ideas?
Eligibility:
- Only for Historic Class entered karts produced up through 1964. Refer to guidelines.
- Fill out additional Historical Class equipment information form at sign in.
- Must be registered and actively participate in a mid western VKA Historic Class event.
- Must at least take the green flag start in one heat race. Finishing position doesn’t matter.
- Only one Engine 25 clock award per year. Once you win one that’s it for the 25 season!
- If possible provide some type of written documentation for engine/kart production dates.
- Any questionable award decision will be settled by a coin toss.
