Michigan International Speedway Enduros 2014
Vintage Enduros blistered MIS the weekend of September 6-7th, 20014, as part of the Michigan Kart Club annual MIS Event.
VKA Enduro Director Rick Chapman worked closely with the Michigan Kart Club in the months preceding this event to create a unique and well attended Vintage Enduro segment. Special “Awesome Awards” were presented to Vintage Karters by class sponsors. The Vintage Karting Association recently expanded it’s focus to include Enduro Karting, with the intent of fostering interest and participation in the preservation and enjoyment of these road racing machines that historically comprised a large percentage of karting.
Thanks Rick, I had a great time (except for blowing up my MC-92) driving my Hornet Marauder at MIS. The track was fun to drive and the Michigan Kart Club treated us really nice. You have to see it in person to experience the size of this track, it’s HUGE! Also thanks to Monique for the lunch. We had 8 Vintage Enduros all running on the track at the same time for a full 30 minutes. Hopefully if we can increase our turnout we can run a “Vintage Only” heat in the future. See you all next year. The awesome photography is by (#47) Keelie Mann’s daughter, Kayla of Braappp Photography and Designs. https://www.facebook.com/braappp.pd Thanks for your EXCELLENT WORK!
