Hi guys,

Karter since 1994. Driver, racer, retailer, wholesaler, trackside support provider, arrive-and-drive provider, race organizer, commentator, broadcaster.

I'm cleaning out an old race trailer and would like to find a home for these items. They are almost all new. Some are rare. I've got several circa 2000ish Gearbox racing suits, including a VERY rare RMax suit, and LOT'S of Gearbox t-shirts, all leftovers from my karting retail days. If you guys can suggest a shop or site where I can list these I'd appreciate any advice. I REALLY don't want to just throw them away.

Hi my is Tom Ruggeri,

Joined the VKA so me and my son can attained the Adams kart track meet in February 2022 in California were we live. We have a 1961 Rupp Dart kart with a Mc 49 engine. The kart was restored 7 years ago but ment to be driven. Thanks for the site.

Hello, I'm Joshua Norris. 42 yrs old from Kentucky. I ❤️ Go karts and have recently purchased a 71' Margay cheetah. My first vintage kart. I have modified modern karts and have recently restored a yard kart. (Avenger yellow jacket) Excited to learn all I can help out in any way and keep vintage karting alive.

I am from south western Ohio. G&J would be my local track. I hope to get a vintage kart shortly to join the fun. I raced in the mid 70's. My youngest two children last ran Shifter Karts late 90's to early 2000's. My oldest son ran SM with SCCA and NASA for a few years.

Thanks for having me!

I have an industrial laser in my garage (doesn’t everyone?) and I got involved with making gaskets and reeds for the 2 stroke kart engines about 7 years ago. I have files for most Mac and West Bend engines, but certainly not limited to those.
This is a hobby for me (making gaskets and reeds) just to make a couple bucks to fund my MiniBike addiction…but I also like helping people keep their vintage machines running.
the laser is very accurate and leaves a finished edge on the gasket unlike gaskets that are stamped or cut by hand

if I don’t have a file, you can send me the part and I will make the gaskets for you. You can also check my references (Kneisel, Ives, Bennet, Moore, Brown,Haddock, Sullivan, Kelley)

I only use FelPro Karropak gasket material and for reeds I use mil-spec G10 FR4 material

gasket material is 1/64”, 1/32”, and 1/16” thick, but I have other material for specific applications

the reeds are done with either .015” or .020” material

@jimkamm I think BOTH are necessary so we can cover as many vintage karters as possible. Some will use one or the other and some will use both.

@jimkamm The age difference between vintage karters means that we need Facebook, this forum the two other forums that have been around for at least the last 15 years. I don't know what will be next but something will come along. It's no different than E-Bay, Facebook Market Place, Craigs List, etc.
