many years back around 2002+ early years of the vintage karting movement there were some folks who were selling a video of alot of the good ole 8mm or super8mm films of karts raceing there were more than one offered one was a fairley long compile 2 hours i think thats a pile of the 3 minute reels ! does anyone else remember these films ? i sure woul like to find a copy to see ! , the GILEs 8mm films of various races are real good stuff ! it shows a red devil enduro kart with a overhead pipe on it , there are street races ,enduros at indy OH it is very good stuff to see nice !, that 1st vintage kart web site had some stuff on there that i cannot find anymore ! there was a write up on don surwalls MAX TORQUE SPL FKE karts run at a old airport enduro course it had a accound of a race where dons kart hit 148mph don said his eyes were blured from vibration so bad that the only way he knew it was time to brake for the turn was to look over at the grandstands as he rocketed by them ! anyway it was a good article I CANNOT FIND IT ANYMORE ? does anyone know where i can find that write up ? or whatever happen to the stuff on that old web site ,it was a good one i think it was around 2002 when the VKA was just starting i am the 24th person to sign up. i think the VKA is up to 348 members now ? thanks for reading this #24
