Thanks for the opportunity to post on Safety.

My input is that Event Promoters must place great emphasis on the personnel they have doing safety tech and moreover at the pit exit.

First, the Grid Steward is a busy person with all that they have to monitor. Karts going out, time of practices, events occurring on the track, straying pit crew onto the track area, broken down karts, and much other stuff.

My point is that the Grid Steward often does not have time or thoughts available to check for karts that have not been through a safety checking process, passed same and received the appropriate sticker.

Not only at Practice opening but all through the event...practices, races, and otherwise. At the very least an announcement that each driver must be certain that they have the proper sticker on their kart.

And that as far as they know that their chassis is SAFE !

So, we need to have a separate person that is checking for stickers, current stickers, plus their visibility and apparent on the chassis before they enter the track surface. One miss can the one that stops us all from running that day.

Any Member who deliberately goes onto the track without having passed through a safety check should be excluded from that event. Should they inadvertently do they same then they would forfeit their grid position, in my opinion.

Enduro officials are better than Sprinters at this needed and critical job. They not only check for driver wristbands but also for a safety sticker. Loss of your practice time hurts!

But less hurt than loss of mobility or worse. Or impacting another competitor.

Sprint races can, as we know, be dangerous.

Heads up !
