Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I've been cleaning out the garage, and unburied most of my old karting stuff. I did a little racing in the late '70s, early '80s at Indian Dunes (Southern California), mostly speedway. I have a Lancer, I think actually a Meyers Lancer. Does anyone know roughly when it was made? I bought it used in the late '70s. I also have an old rear-engine rolling kart, a couple of other frames, and LOTS of parts. I'll try posting a few photos of the Lancer.

Matt

Meyers Lancers started production in 73/74 when they bought the name from Bob Jefferies of Hancock Diesel., Lancer kart manufacture in Findlay OH ....one heck of a kart for its time....don't know when they stopped, but had some serious drivers

Hi Gary,

Thank you for the info. I remember when I bought the Meyers in the late '70s, I got many comments on how you don't see many of those around. When I bought it, it came with a MC92. Boy, that thing was fast! (at least for me) I still have the motor, but I only raced the Meyer with a flathead Briggs.
