I have always wanted to get into a fun family friendly racing sport, and have had alot of respect for the racers of yesteryear. I figured what better way to light the fire, then to purchase a 74' Bug Stinger and do a rebuild to prepare for the 2020 racing season. The goal is to have mine completed before the end of summer so I can focus on finding another for the wife or my father to get into the sport with me. Looking for a little guidance, was hoping there may be some other members in Delaware that can introduce me to more of the sporting history, ideas, etc.

First off...welcome to the Vintage Karting world......and secondly,,,you have picked a great kart to start with...it will fit nicely into the Straight axle sidewinder class if you decide to participate in our demonstrations.....(class structure and guidelines under documents tab on home page here)

there are 4-5 east coast events to can attend and get a feel for what you want to do...

if you are on Face Book we also have a page on there....

welcome aboard
Gary W

Thanks Gary, very much appreciated. Looking forward to learning more about the kart through the rebuild. Can't wait to make it to the events next year when it's all together.
